Recently, Integrated Control and Management System for Civilian UAV Flight Test successfully completed its final comprehensive test, where the ground measurement & control station worked together with the airborne flight control system to conduct series flight test for a fixed-wing UAV. The system developed by the research group of Aeronautics School, led by Professor Zhang Wei, is the first domestic measurement and control platform dedicated to the civilian UAV flight Test.
The flight test system consists of flight control system, ground measurement & control station, real-time flight data acquisition, hardware-in-loop flight simulation, full-life-cycle UAV database, and big data analysis tools. The system can fulfill flight test mission for a variety of civilian UAVs in a standard, systematic, and scientific procedure. Such kind of test will expedite the research and application of the domestic UAV.
Following the civilian UAV technology development trend, the group members from several different disciplines cooperate with one another to propose the innovative design methods and establish several core technologies with independent intellectual properties include NPU-100A autopilot.
The development of the system further enhanced the collaboration of UAV-related disciplines in the university. It covers UAV layout design, UAV flight control, UAV digital communication, computer vision navigation, and other popular research areas. The success of the system set a typical example of the multi-discipline fusion and innovation. It is significant for the standardization of domestic high-end civilian UAV industry.
