NPU Deputy President Huang Wei Elected As SPIE Fellow

Recently,SPIE (Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers) released the name list for 2017 SPIE Fellows. Academician Huang Wei, Vice- President of NPU has been named a Fellow of SPIEfor his great achievements in the development of this field.

Each year, SPIEpromotes members as new Fellows of the Societyin optics throughout the world.Fellows are Members of distinction who have made significant scientific and technical contributions in the multidisciplinary fields of optics, photonics, and imaging. They are honored for their technical achievement, for their service to the general optics community, and to SPIE in particular.Academician Huan Wei has been honored for his achievements in organic photo-electronics, an inter-disciplinary field combining physics, chemistry, materials engineering, electronics, and information science and technology.

SPIE is a non-profit international professional organization with about 50,000 fellows across the world. Enjoying great prestige and influence in academic circles, SPIE is the most authoritative professional organization in optical engineering.
