NPU Men's Volleyball Team Finished Runner-up in the National University Volleyball League Finals

On April 28th, NPU Men's Volleyball Team finished runner-up in the 2017-2018 National University Volleyball League Finals. The coach Jing Wang was awarded the title of “Excellent Coach”.
In the group stage, NPU Men's Volleyball Team entered the finals after beating Sun Yat-sen University 3-2, Nanchang University 3:0, Hunan Normal University 3:1, Jilin University 3:1. Although losting to Shandong University of Finance and Economics 2:3, the team finished the first place in the group phase.
In the competition’s quarter-final and semi-final stages, the team  won out Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology (3:1), and reached the finals after beating Beihang University (3:2).

In the finals with China University of Petroleum, the NPU Men's Volleyball Team continued to fight in one’s whole might. However, in the fight for several key balls, they lost to their opponents and made more miss. They eventually won the runner-up 0:3.
After the game, the captain Yi Sixu said, "As a senior team member, what I want to do is to finish the final stage of my volleyball career and do my best to make our volleyball family better and carry out my last obligations."
Head coach Jing Wang said that “NPU’s sports teams, including football and basketball, will carry out a style of northwestern wolf. Wolves are a group of collective actions, fierce and tenacious, robust and resourceful, relying on the strength of the team to complete common goals.”
