Theme:FEIAP Engineering Education Workshop Held in NPU: Aiming to Promote the International Governance Ability of Engineering Education

2018 FEIAP Engineering Education Workshop was held in NPU during May 17-18, which had in-depth explorations on issues concerning promoting the mutual recognition of the qualifications for engineering education in the “Belt & Road” countries, impelling the engineering education in Asian-Pacific region to go to the world, and the strategic measures for participation in the global governance system. Besides, at the conference, it was also proposed that FEIAP and NPU jointly set up FEIAP & “Belt & Road” Engineering Education Training Center with the support from CAST (China Association for Science and Technology).                                                        1F8C8

President of WFEO (World Federation of Engineering Organizations), Mr. Gong Ke, Deputy Director of Department of International Affairs of CAST, Mr. Wang Qinglin, President of FEIAP, Mr. John Li, and Former President of FEIAP and President of UTAR (Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman), Mr. Chuah Hean Teik, Vice-President also President-elect of FEIAP, NPU Deputy President HuangWei, and NPU Vice President ZhangWeihong attended the workshop and its opening ceremony.


The Federation of Engineering Institutions of Asia and the Pacific(FEIAP), established in 1978 with the support of UNESCO (United Nations Educational,Scientific,and Cultural Organization),  and WFEO( World Federation Of Engineering Organizations),  has been one of the most important engineering organizations in Asian-Pacific Region. Academician Huang Wei was elected as Vice President and President-elect of (2019-2021) FEIAP in 2017.
