“Seminar on Alternative Energy: Materials, Technologies, and Equipments” and “Alternative Energy: PhD Students Innovation Forum” were held during the 2018 Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities (ASRTU) Summit in Ekaterinburg, Russia during the period of July 10-16.
Prof. Fan Huiqing, Prof. Wang Weijia, and Dr. Ren Xiaohu from NPU School of Materials Science and Engineering, Prof. Zhang Lixi and Prof. Liu Nairui from NPU School of Power and Energy attended the seminar and delivered reports on NPU's latest progress in the field of alternative energy. Prof. Fan Huiqing and Prof. Wang Weijia were invited to chair parallel sessions respectively and Dr. Ren Xiaohu was awarded the Best Presentation of A Young Scientist: First Prize.
Being part of ASRTU annual series activities, “Seminar on Alternative Energy: Materials, Technologies, and Equipments” and “Alternative Energy: PhD Students Innovation Forum” were co-organized by Ural Federal University, Russia. This seminar and forum themed at alternative energy, bridged the cooperation between high-level universities in both China and Russia, and built up a platform for exchange among PhD students. It also served to find and cultivate innovative young talents and push forward global cooperation and exchange on education and scientific research.
On behalf of universities from China, Dr. Ren Xiaohu, from Prof. Fan Huiqing’s research group, was awarded the First Prize for his paper Magnetic Force Driven Noncontact Triboelectric Nanogenerator Based on Fe3O4NPs Embedded PVDF Nanofibers. In this forum, 6 PhD students were awarded the First Prize, the Second Prize, and the Third Prize respectively.
