On the afternoon of November 15th, NPU officially hired Prof. Todd Benjamin Marder of the University of Wuerzburg, Germany as consultant professor.

VicePresident Zhang Weihong welcomed Prof. Marder to join NPU and began in-depth cooperation with the Institute of Flexible Electronics. The Institute of Flexible Electronics is a comprehensive research institution with a high degree of interdisciplinary integration. Under the leadership of Academician Huang Wei, a large number of high-level articles and scientific research results have been produced. The joining of Prof. Marder will definitely promote scientific research and talent cultivation in the field of elemental-organic chemistry, introduce more top scholars, enhance the international influence of our school, and contribute to our university’sconstruction plan of"Double First-Class" initiative.
Prof.Todd Benjamin Mardersaid that he was honored to be appointed as a consultant professor of NPU. He has a deep relationship with NPU, Prof. Ji Lei of the Institute of Flexible Electronics is his doctoral student. The two sides have had a good foundation for communication and cooperation and look forward to long-term cooperation with each other to produce high-level research results. As a member of the International Affairs Committee of the University of Wuerzburg, Prof. Marder said that he will actively promote the joint training of students, teachers' exchanges and scientific research cooperation, and promote the all-round cooperation between the University of Wuerzburg and NPU.

At the appointment ceremony, President Zhang issued a letter of appointment to Professor Marder. Prof. Fu Li, Executive Dean of the Institute of Flexible Electronics, read the academic achievements of Prof. Marder to the attendees.
