120 member units of Belt and Road Aerospace Innovation Alliance (BRAIA), Sino-Australia Engineering University Consortium (SAEUC), Belt and Road Cultural Heritage Global Alliance (BRCHGA) in 28 countries have been affected by the COVID-19 to different extent.
Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) initiated or co-initiated these three alliances respectively in 2017, 2018 and 2019 and also has been acting as the secretariats of them. The president of NPU, Professor Wang Jinsong has issued over 60 greeting letters to non-Chinese member units of alliances in America, Italy, Spain, Russia, Pakistan, Egypt, Australia, Argentina, Mexico, etc. in order to express the sincere regards and support during this difficult period. These letters have been well responded by alliance members with the great appreciation on NPU’s support and positive outlook for future cooperation.
Within the last three years, the alliances have been developing quickly and continually bringing benefits to the members. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, the Secretariat Office has organized several online meetings to coordinate the work of this year with members in order to achieve the common development goal. With joint efforts, the alliances are expected to grow further, to enhance the cooperation in talent cultivation and scientific research, also with the manifested effect of the Regional Development Centers, etc.
