Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) was officially approved by International Telecommunications Union (ITU) as a new academic member on 8th of July, 2020.

NPU has started the application since December 2019, and officially submitted the application to ITU Secretariat Office of Ministry of Industry and information Technology (MIIT) of P.R. China in May, 2020.

Recommended by Ministry of Industry and information Technology (MIIT) of P.R. China and approved by ITU, NPU was accepted as an academic member of ITU this month. Secretary-General of ITU, Mr. Zhao Houlin wrote a welcome letter to the president of NPU, Prof. Wang Jinsong, and expressed his good expectations on the future cooperation with our university.
