Time flies, and here comes another year. On the evening of December 31, the university held a “Dumpling Making for the New Year” event. University leaders, including Party Secretary Li Yanrong and President Song Baowei, joined representatives of faculty and students to make dumplings and share a reunion dinner. Amid the warm and lively atmosphere, they exchanged heartfelt conversations and shared everyday stories, their dreams and aspirations for the future, all while enjoying the heartwarming taste of the festive meal.
The venue was adorned with colorful decorations, creating a joyful and lively atmosphere. Organizers had prepared dumpling wrappers and a variety of fillings in advance. Faculty and students gathered around tables, showcasing their skills and working together to create the festive flavors of the New Year. Each uniquely shaped dumpling was filled with happiness and warmth, conveying mutual New Year’s blessings and shared hopes for the future.
The event also featured a “Dumpling-Making Competition”, song and dance performances, a “Lucky Reunion Dumplings” activity, and calligraphy sessions where participants wrote the character “福” (meaning good fortune). Applause and cheers filled the air as faculty and students joyfully gathered, sharing delicious food and savoring the warmth of the occasion together.
That same evening, the university also arranged a variety of interactive activities in the auxiliary hall of Aoxiang Gymnasium, including ring toss, pitch-pot, couplet writing, sugar figure crafting, and floor curling. These were organized as part of a festive garden party to celebrate the New Year holiday.
Chasing dreams across mountains and seas, we never feel the journey is too long; with a long road ahead, we stride forward with confidence. In 2025, all members of the Northwestern Polytechnical University community are forging ahead with determination. As we stand at the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan in 2026, we will ride the momentum and strive for our dreams, work hard for happiness, and turn grand visions into a splendid reality!
