To further foster a positive learning environment and enhance international students’ academic performance, the International College continued to implement the “Peer Tutoring” Program throughout 2025. Centered on undergraduate students’ learning needs, the program provided academic support and study guidance across five core courses. Guided by the principles of needs-based design, targeted assistance, and continuous follow-up, the initiative contributed to the ongoing improvement of the College’s academic support system and helped students study more effectively.

Building a robust academic support network through peer tutor selection
Throughout 2025, the College selected 23 master’s and doctoral international students from diverse academic backgrounds to serve as peer tutors. Drawing on their own learning experiences and in-depth understanding of course content, the tutors delivered targeted tutorials addressing key and difficult points of the courses. Through Q&A sessions and the sharing of effective study strategies, they helped fellow students better adapt to course requirements, master learning methods, and cultivate a supportive, collaborative learning atmosphere.

Integrating instruction and practice to enhance tutoring effectiveness
Over the course of the year, the Peer Tutoring Program delivered a total of 104 tutoring sessions. Focusing on core concepts and challenging topics, the sessions emphasized a closed-loop model of instruction–practice–feedback. Tutors combined structured lectures and worked examples with in-class exercises and collective review. Group discussions and post-class one-on-one consultations were also provided, enabling tutors to address common difficulties in a centralized manner while offering tailored guidance for individual needs, enabling students to clarify their problem-solving strategies and promptly identify and address knowledge gaps. This approach further enhanced the precision and effectiveness of academic support.

In the future, the International College will continue to take student needs as its guiding principle, further refining the selection and training of peer tutors, strengthening process management, and improving feedback and evaluation mechanisms. By optimizing course content and service delivery, the College aims to enhance the precision and reach of academic support, help international students build a solid academic foundation, and jointly foster a learning-oriented environment characterized by mutual support and shared progress.
