Guide to On-Campus Life for International Students at NPU During the 2026 Winter Vacation

2026-02-05 12:01

Dear International Students of NPU:

The winter vacation has officially begun, and the campus has switched to “holiday mode”. To ensure a warm, safe, and fulfilling vacation for those remaining on campus, the International College has prepared this living guide based on the university’s arrangements. Please check this guide and plan your holiday wisely!

01 Vacation & Registration Dates

According to the university calendar, the winter vacation runs from January 25 (Sunday) to February 28 (Saturday), 2026. Registration for the new semester is scheduled for March 1 (Sunday), and classes will officially begin on March 2 (Monday). Please keep these dates in mind and return on time for registration.

02 Dining Services

During the winter vacation, specific canteens will remain open. Students on Chang’an Campus can dine at Student Canteen No. 5 (Yuntianyuan 1F) or Haitianyuan Flavor Restaurant (3F West). On Youyi Campus, Student Canteen No. 2 will be at your service.

Please note the adjusted serving hours: Breakfast 7:00-9:00, Lunch 11:00-13:00, and Dinner 17:00-19:00. We hope you eat regularly and maintain a healthy diet during the holidays.

03 Transportation Arrangements

From January 26 to February 28, the inter-campus shuttle will operate on a holiday schedule. Please note that the online “Shuttle Bus Reservation” system is suspended during the vacation. You do not need to book in advance; simply queue up at the boarding point.

Departure Times:

●From Youyi to Chang’an: 8:00, 11:00, 15:00

●From Chang’an to Youyi: 9:30, 12:30, 16:45

Additionally, on February 27 and 28, direct shuttle buses from the Airport and Train Stations to Chang’an Campus will be available. Students needing this service should book in advance via the “Aoxiang Portal”. Please also note that the East Gate of Chang’an Campus will be closed from Feb 13 to Feb 20. Please plan your route accordingly and use other gates.

04 Study & Exercise

The holidays are a great time to recharge. The library will be briefly closed from Feb 10 to Feb 23 but will remain open on other days. The specific opening hours are: Youyi Campus 8:30-21:00 (Manual Service 9:00-12:00); Chang’an Campus 8:30-16:30 (Manual Service 9:30-12:00). For those who prefer studying in classrooms, Cheng Building (Youyi) and Teaching Building East B2 (Chang’an) will be open daily from 8:30 to 21:30. If you need transcripts, you can download them via the “Aoxiang Academic System” or use the self-service printers at the Archives.

The Gymnasiums on both campuses will be open from Jan 26 to Feb 13, and again from Feb 24 to Feb 28. You are welcome to exercise there.

05 Life Services

Please pay attention to supermarket operating hours. The Supermarket on Youyi Campus will be closed from Feb 11 to Feb 24, while the Supermarket on Chang’an Campus will be closed from Jan 30 to Feb 24. We suggest stocking up on daily necessities before the closures.

Express delivery services will remain open during the winter vacation with some adjustments. At Youyi Campus, the center operates normally from Jan 26 to Feb 14, but hours will be reduced to 10:00—12:00 from Feb 15 to Feb 23. For Chang’an Campus, please note that from Jan 28 to Feb 14, and from Feb 24 to Feb 26, the service location will be Aoxiang Gymnasium Express Service Center (10:00—17:00). Please check on-site notices for arrangements between Feb 15 and Feb 23. Additionally, the Campus Postman service will be suspended starting Jan 26 and will resume on March 1.

For internet services, please use WebVPN for off-campus access to university resources. For internet or utility payments, we recommend using the “Aoxiang Portal” or the mobile app. Offline services are also available at the “One-stop Service Hall” on weekdays.

06 International College Duty Schedule

2026 is the “Year of the Horse” in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. In Chinese culture, the Horse symbolizes struggle, progress, and vitality. We will celebrate the Spring Festival on February 17. The Spring Festival is the most significant traditional festival in China, symbolizing reunion and new beginnings. During this time, families gather to eat dumplings, paste spring couplets, and exchange red envelopes to wish for good luck and happiness in the coming year.

We wish every international student at NPU a Happy Chinese New Year in advance! May you take the lead and achieve “Ma Dao Cheng Gong” (instant success) in the coming year!
