As the Spring Festival of the Year of the Horse approaches, bringing warmth to the winter season, President Song Baowei, accompanied by Assistant to the President Wang Yubo, visited the Chang’an Campus to extend greetings to international students remaining on campus during the winter break and to faculty representatives from the School of International Education who were on duty during the holiday.
In the festively decorated lobby of the International Student Residence, President Song held a relaxed and cordial discussion with student representatives. The students shared their experiences of studying and living at the university. They expressed that the care and support from NPU’s leaders made them feel at home while abroad, and said they would devote themselves to academic pursuits and gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture.

Noting the recent cold weather, President Song reminded students to keep warm and take care of their health. After learning about their holiday plans, he shared several expectations: first, to fully experience the Chinese Spring Festival and better understand Chinese culture; second, to serve as bridges for cultural exchange between China and other countries; and third, to cherish their time studying in China, stay dedicated to their academic development, and build strong professional competence through specialized study and research innovation. He then presented the students with New Year gifts and extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes for the upcoming Spring Festival.

President Song also conveyed his regards to faculty representatives who remained on duty during the winter break.
