On March 19, the 2026 Northwestern Polytechnical University(NPU) Spring Camp for Russian Youth came to a successful conclusion. A total of 38 teachers and students from Middle School No. 619 in St. Petersburg, Russia, completed an eight-day journey of cultural exchange. With culture as a bridge and science and technology as a medium, the spring camp served as a platform for in-depth communication between Chinese and Russian youth.

Following the opening ceremony, the Russian teachers and students engaged in Chinese language classes and cultural interactive sessions, through which they experienced the charm of Chinese language and culture. Their itinerary included visits to historical sites such as the Terracotta Army, the Xi’an Ming City Wall and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, where they connected with the cultural heritage of the ancient capital. They also explored the Qinling Four Treasures Wildlife Conservation Park to gain insight into ecological protection efforts. During their visit to NPU’s Chang’an Campus, the University History Museum and the Aviation Museum offered an immersive experience into the university’s development and its achievements in aviation innovation. The diverse program allowed the Russian delegation to gain a comprehensive understanding of China’s historical roots and modern vitality.

The successful conclusion of this spring camp represents a vivid example of educational and cultural exchange between China and Russia, fostering deeper friendship between the youth of both countries through mutual understanding and connection. Looking ahead, NPU will continue to leverage international exchange as a bridge, building more platforms for cross-cultural dialogue and promoting deeper collaboration between China and Russia in education, culture, and science and technology, so that the flowers of China–Russia friendship continues to flourish through sustained exchange and engagement.
