Northwestern Polytechnical University achieved strong results at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva held from March 11 to 15.

The High-Performance Compressor team from the School of Power and Energy, led by Associate Professor Cao Zhiyuan, received the Gold Medal with the Congratulations of the Jury -the exhibition's highest honor - for its flow control technology for end wall region of aero-turbomachines based on vortex-vortex interference concept.

Meanwhile, the Human-Machine-Thing Intelligent Computing team from the School of Computer Science, led by Professors Yu Zhiwen, Guo Bin, and Wang Liang, was awarded a Silver Medal for its open-source crowdsensing system CrowdOS recognized for its technological innovation and real-world applications.

As one of the world's most prestigious invention exhibitions, the Geneva event brought together over 1,000 projects from 35countries and regions.
