On July 3, a delegation led by Margulan Ibraimov, Vice Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, visited Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU).NPU Vice President Kong Jie met with the delegation.

On behalf of NPU, Vice President Kong Jie extended a warm welcome to Professor Margulan Ibraimov and his delegation. He noted that the successful graduation of the second cohort of 36 master’s students marked a new milestone for the NPU Kazakhstan Branch Campus.
He expressed his hope that both sides will continue to work closely together,to “further develop Northwestern Polytechnical University Kazakhstan Branch Campus and cultivate more successors to the cause of China–Kazakhstan friendship”, so as to build the branch into a flagship project of bilateral scientific and educational cooperation.
Professor Margulan Ibraimov expressed his great pleasure at visiting NPU once again. He stated that the establishment of the NPU Kazakhstan Branch Campus has laid a solid foundation for deepening the strategic cooperation between the two universities and has set an exemplary model for collaboration between Chinese and Kazakh universities. He also expressed his expectation for both sides to explore new areas of growth in scientific research and work together to elevate their partnership to a new level.

The meeting was also attended by representatives from the School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Electronics and Information , School of Computer Science, School of Mathematics and Statistics, Office of International Cooperation, and the NPU Kazakhstan Branch Campus.
