On November 4th, the fourth "Soaring Young Cadre Training Class" on-site teaching activity was held on the campus. A total of 38 training class participants were organized to visit the school history museum and safety education experience hall.
In the course of visiting the school history museum, the interpreter introduced the school philosophy, spirit, and motto of " Loyalty，Integrity，Courage and persistent " to the trainees. And then led them to visit the four exhibition halls of tracing backwards, eagle spreading, soaring and the progression of seasons. The exhibition hall is presented in various forms, such as display boards, physical models, historical relics of the university, figures sculpture, scene restoration through diverse technology elements and touch screen inquiry, fully demonstrating the perseverance and dedication of our predecessors in the war of resistance and the grand vision of "towards the first class" in the new era. It stimulates the participants' sense of pride and responsibility, and contributes to the in-depth development of "carry forward the patriotic spirit of struggle, make achievements in the new era". What’s more, the activity promotes the young staff to carry forward the spirit of unity, hard work and enterprising.
In the safety education experience Pavilion, the trainees visited six exhibition areas: natural disaster zone, national security zone, campus security zone, fire protection zone, health zone and traffic security zone. Through the combination of knowledge teaching and interactive experience, they experienced earthquake buildings, simulated fire fighting, CPR, etc., and gained an intuitive understanding of various emergency hedging skills and precise rescue methods, especially a deeper understanding of national confidentiality and security.
Through this experiential education activity of "Love the Country, Love the School, Make Achievement and Work", the young faculty members have deeply felt the historical heritage and humanistic charm of Northwestern Polytechnical University, which strengthened their sense of belonging and pride in the school. It is helpful to pass on the spirit of NPU, carry forward the spirit of patriotic struggle, promote the establishment of a solid "patriotic and loving school" feelings among the teachers and students of the school, and build a team of outstanding talents who are committed to patriotic struggle and innovation, thereby promoting the construction of "double first-class".
