Queen Mary Engineering School, NPU Held an English-taught Exchange Seminar

In order to ensure the high-quality English teaching of QMES, promote the further development of international education, and create an academic atmosphere of mutual exchange and communication, QMES held an English-taught Exchange Seminar in Lecture Hall 410, East Teaching Building A, Chang’an Campus of NPUon March 26, 2021, which was presided over by Professor Zhang Juan.

Associate Professors Zhang Junliang, Zhang Biao and He Yixuan were invited by QMES to simulate the English teaching on the spot. Associate Professor Tao Yi from Ande College, University of South Australia, Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, Professor Zhang Juan from school of Mechanics, Civil Engineering and Architecture, Professor Chen Kaijie and Associate Professor Shi Xuetao from School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and Teacher Timothy Kingham from School of Foreign Studies, as the evaluation experts, exchanged and discussed the related issues of English teaching. Vice Dean Fan Xiaoli participated in this Exchange Seminar.

Combined with a comprehensive and diverse teaching model. The three teachers performed an all-English classroom simulation within 10 minutes, demonstrating their profound knowledge reserve and excellent teaching ability. Zhang Junliang, the teacher of polymer Characterization, briefly introduced Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC). He started the lecture from several aspects, such as the material size of polymer, the temperature of glass transition, the relationship between temperature and chain length, and the function of GPC, which strengthened students’ understanding of GPC.
