Students in awe of future development with digital technology

2022-07-26 15:30

Sarwar Muhammad Khaqan, a Pakistani doctoral student studying at Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) in Xi’an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China, admired China's vision of sustainable development with digital technology.

After attending intensive study and practice activities held in early July in Xi 'an and Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, Khaqan and his classmates appreciated the positive role played by digital technology in promoting the sustainable development of society.

Organized by NPU's School of International Education, the activities with the theme of "Digital China and Sustainable Development" helped students learn that automation, digitalization and intelligence have become an important driving force in China.

In Hangzhou Research Institute of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., students learned about the forward-looking exploration of combining digital technology, power electronics technology, information and communication technology, to give back to society and promote the energy revolution.

Foreign students said that the activity made them have a deeper understanding of "Digital China and Sustainable Development".

“Our younger generation should play a greater role in building peace, promoting greater development and changing the world,” said Astanova Elmira, a student from Turkmenistan.
