The 13thInternationalConference on Information Optics and Photonics (CIOP 2022) was successfully held from august 7to 10. The Chinese Journal of Lasers and Northwestern Polytechnical University co-organised the conference with the International Society for Optical Engineering(SPIE) offering technical support. More than 900 experts and scholars, business representatives, optics practitioners and graduate students from China, USA, Germany, Singapore and Israel joined online and offline to discuss the latest progress in the field of information optics and photonics and the development of optics business.
The conference opened on time at 8:30 a.m. on August 8. Prof. Zhang Kaifu, Assistant to the President of Northwestern Polytechnical University, Ms Yang Lei, General Manager of Chinese Journal of Lasers, and Prof. Zhao Jianlin, Co-Chairman of the conference, delivered speeches to welcome the participation of domestic and foreign colleagues, hoping they could enjoy the academic event and have a full communication together. They also thanked the generous support from all the organizers, experts and sponsors.
Academician Zhu Shining of Nanjing University, Professor Yuan Xiaocong of Shenzhen University, Professor Uriel Levy of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Professor Sun Hongbo from Tsinghua University gave reports respectively on Optical Microstructures and The Applications in Quantum Information, Optical Vortex and The Applications, Metasurfaces, and Laser Micro-nano Machiningetc, introducing the development and latest research progress in related fields domestic and overseas.
The conference set up 16 topics, experts had a full discussion on super-resolution optical imaging and biophotonics, laser technique and light-matter interaction, plasmons and metamaterials, ultrafast and non-linear optics, optical fiber sensing technology, etc. The reports include the latest research progress in 2022, which is innovative and cutting-edge.
The conference also held a variety of forums and academic activities, promoting in-depth communication between academic circles and industrial circles. At the same time, the executive editor of Acta Optica Sinica, Professor Zhao Jianlin from the School of Physical Science and Technology of NPU, was invited to give a public benefit class.
