China-Argentina Space Forum, jointly organized by China National Space Administration (CNSA)and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Argentina, took place online on September 13-14, 2022. Mr. Zhang Kejian, head of CNSA, Mr. Daniel Filmus, the Argentine minister and ambassadors of the two countries attended the forum. Belt and Road Aerospace Innovation Alliance (BRAIA) initiated by Northwestern Polytechnical University(NPU)was invited to deliver a keynote report at the forum.
Prof. Zhang Fuli, NPU Director of Office of International Cooperation and Dean of International College, introduced NPU’s collaboration foundation with Argentina, including its cooperation with Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP), Argentina in BRAIA Joint Research Seed Fund Project and in Geomagnetic Field Joint Detection Using Micro-Satellites. He also shared his outlook for future collaboration by building cooperation network with Argentina universities, research institutes and academic organizations in the aerospace field, establishing NPU-Argentina development base for aerospace talent, organizing microsatellite innovation contests with Argentina universities, etc. On behalf of the BRAIA Permanent Secretariat (NPU), Prof. Zhang Fuli welcomed more Argentine universities, research institutions, academic organizations and enterprises in the field of aerospace to join BRAIA and carry out multilateral cooperation in talent training and scientific research under the guidance of the space administrations from both countries.
Experts and scholars from Argentine CONAE Earth Observation Center, Satellite Project Center, Technical Liaison Center and Education Center, China National Space Administration, China Ministry of Natural Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Academy of Space Technology, China Great Wall IndustryCorporationand Beihang University had an in-depth discussion in fields of earth observation, satellite navigation, space science and deep-space exploration, space technology, education and training, etc.
