2022-10-26 16:08

In order to further improve the quality of psychological education and effectively pay attention to the mental health of freshmen, under the guidance of the Psychology Center of NPU, QMES organized a series of small-class lectures on psychological adaptation targeting the new students of the class of 2022 from September 24 to 30.

Di Meilin and other teachers from the Psychology Center delivered a lecture on psychological adaptation to all classes of grade 2022. The lecture focused on the results of freshmen's psychological assessment, common psychological confusion and adjustment methods during the beginning of university years, aiming to guide the freshmen to complete their identity transformation as soon as possible and accommodate to campus life. In the lecture, the 16-personality test list proposed by Catteland the way to analyse the results of 90 symptoms was explained. The possible psychological problems of college students and the corresponding solutions were introduced, so that the freshmen could have a better understanding of themselves and prevent the occurrence of psychological problems.

The lecture illustrated the reservation procedure, help mechanism and job functions of the Psychology Center, touched upon all kinds of psychological problems confronted upon students' entering the university, and analyse these problems through vivid and interesting examples. The lecture also emphasized that the students should focus on their psychological change, timely discover and solve psychological problems and, if necessary, ask for help.

The lecture helped students to self-reflect on their life goals, to reduce psychological perplexity, clarify their life direction and to cultivate a healthy mentality of the students. In this way, the 2022 freshmen can adapt to campus life better, promote communication between classmates, enhance class cohesion and carry forward the practice of psychological education.
