Recently, the China Division of the Sino-Russian Industrial Innovation Competition was successfully held in Xi’an. The Navigation College of Northwestern Polytechnical University won the first prize with their project “Machine Audition: Intelligent Airborne Sonar Sound Monitoring System,” becoming the only award-winning university in Shaanxi province. The Navigation College’s project “Industrial-grade All-weather Underwater Integrated Operation Platform” and the Aeronautics College’s project “Unmanned Aerial Firefighting System for High-rise Buildings” both received second prizes. In this China Division, all three participating teams from Northwestern Polytechnical University successfully advanced to the Sino-Russian Grand Finals.
Since the start of this competition, a total of 55 projects from universities affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, as well as national key science and engineering universities, have entered the China Division Competition through multiple rounds of selection. Among them, 14 projects that received first and second prizes will advance to the Sino-Russian Grand Finals, where they will compete against the 14 projects that advanced from the Russian Division Finals.
The Sino-Russian Industrial Innovation Competition, as one of the annual series of activities for Sino-Russian scientific and technological innovation, is an important innovative event under the framework of the Industrial Cooperation Sub-Committee of the Regular Meeting of the Prime Ministers of China and Russia. The competition aims to further implement the strategy of innovation-driven development, cultivate young talents with innovative potential, promote the exchange of scientific and technological talents in the industrial field between China and Russia, and support the application of excellent achievements in both countries. The China Division of this competition is guided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and is organized by the International Economic and Technological Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Development and Construction Management Committee of Xi-Xian New Area, Shaanxi Province.
