On the evening of December 30, 2024, the 15th "Cultural Bridge" New Year's Gala and Outstanding International Student Awards Ceremony of Northwestern Polytechnical University was held at the Aoxiang Student Activity Center on the Chang'an Campus. Nearly a thousand students from all over the world gathered together to celebrate New Year's Day and welcome the new year. The gala, with the theme of "Beauty in Diversity, Harmony in Coexistence".
The gala led the students from ethnic characteristics to modern fashion, from profound meaning to simplicity and briskness, from individual solos to group choruses, from the solitary smoke in the desert to the vast prairie, across the vast lands of the five continents and through the boundless sky of the universe, immersing them in the magnificence of various cultures.
The performance of "Youth" by the freshmen carried the innocence of just entering the campus and the expectation for growth. "Time is just a test, and the belief planted in the heart has not diminished at all... No matter how many difficulties lie ahead, we will not retreat." As the scroll of college life unfolds, we look forward to every student meeting friends, acquiring extensive knowledge, and achieving academic success at NPU.
The Moroccan dance was light and agile, like a gorgeous and vivid artistic painting, fully displaying the unique rhythm, long tradition, and moving stories passed down through generations of this country. The display of wedding customs in Central Asia transported everyone to that distant and mysterious land, allowing them to experience its unique charm and simple romance. The Black Rose, like the brightest star in the night, used their bodies as pens and dance steps as ink to sketch out one heart-stirring picture after another on the stage. When the melodious jazz music played leisurely, a fantastic, unique, and crazy creative world was about to unfold slowly before our eyes. Burlesque took us on a wonderful artistic journey.
The classic song "When You Are Old" made the atmosphere at the scene a little quiet and contemplative. After the elegance of classical South Asian dance was integrated with the contemporary style, the students, with innovative choreography and gorgeous costumes, immediately brought people to the world of song and dance youth on the South Asian continent. On the vast Mongolian prairie, the blue sky is as clear as a mirror, and the horses gallop like meteors across the sky. The "Joroon Joroo" dance allowed everyone to gallop freely on the prairie.
Fara, a Moroccan girl, sang "Dream" with a voice that sometimes twisted and turned, sometimes soared high and clear, telling a story of hope, struggle, and the infinite possibilities contained in bravely chasing dreams. "Everybody" inspired each of us to face new challenges and create new glories with even greater enthusiasm and high morale.
