Join the 2026 “Chinese Bridge” Global Chinese Proficiency Competition!

The 2026 “Chinese Bridge” Global Chinese Proficiency Competition—storytelling contest has officially kicked off. Hosted by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation(CLEC)under China’s Ministry of Education, this year’s event will be conducted in a hybrid format, combining both online and offline participation, featuring preliminary, semi-final, and final rounds.


Preliminary Round


I.Vedio Submission Period:

 April 1 to May 10, 2026


II.Eligibility:

1.Chinese language enthusiasts residing in China are welcome to apply, with no age restrictions.

2.Participants must be non-Chinese citizens whose first language is not Chinese.


III.Video Requirements:

1.Format: Entries may take the form of stand-up comedy, crosstalk, short skits, speeches, interviews, mini-documentaries, or situational comedies, with a duration of 2 to 5 minutes.

2.Language: Chinese

3.Content: Open theme; entries should be vivid, engaging, and emotionally sincere.

4.Technical Specifications: Minimum resolution of 1280×720; acceptable formats include MP4, MOV, AVI, and WMV.

5.Copyright: Submissions must be original, promote positive values, and must not include unauthorized or copyrighted materials. Any form of plagiarism or infringement will result in disqualification.


IV.Video Submission:

1.Please submit your video by May 10, 2026, via email to ichinese@nwpu.edu.cn.

2.Email subject line should follow the format: Name + Nationality + Title of Work.

Semi-final and Final Rounds

The semifinal and final rounds will be held offline, tentatively scheduled for early July 2026.
