I. Program Overview
The Khalifa University Exchange Program is open to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students of Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU). Selected students will study or conduct research at Khalifa University during the Spring Semester of 2027 for one semester. Students who successfully complete the program and demonstrate outstanding performance may be considered for conditional admission to master's or doctoral programs at Khalifa University.
The specific requirements are as follows:
1.Eligible Students: Undergraduate students from the 2023, 2024, and 2025 cohorts, as well as currently enrolled graduate students;
2.Number of Places: 10;
3.Eligible Disciplines: Science and engineering-related disciplines, including but not limited to Aerospace Engineering; Chemical and Petroleum Engineering; Civil and Environmental Engineering; Management Science and Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Computer Science; Computer and Communication Engineering; Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology; Chemistry; Earth Sciences; Physics; Mathematics; and Biological Sciences.
4.Duration: One semester;
5.GPA Requirements:
1.Undergraduate students undertaking coursework: GPA of 3.0 or above;
2.Undergraduate students undertaking their graduation project/thesis: GPA of 3.25 or above;
3.Master's students: GPA of 3.25 or above;
6.English Language Requirements:
1.Undergraduate students: CET-6 score of 470 or above;
2.Graduate students: CET-6 score of 500 or above;

II. Application Materials and Application Procedure
Application Materials
Applicants should submit the following materials:
1.Academic transcripts in both Chinese and English;
2.Proof of English language proficiency;
3.An English CV;
4.A recommendation letter in English from the applicant's NPU academic supervisor;
5.A completed application form in English (Appendix 2).
Application Procedure
1.Please compile all the above application materials into one folder and send them to qianliu@nwpu.edu.cn by September 15, 2026. (The folder name and email subject line should follow the format: Khalifa Exchange + School/College + Undergraduate/Graduate Student + Full Name)
2.After submitting the application, please join the QQ group: 807698063

III. Program Costs
1. During the exchange period, students will continue to pay tuition fees to NPU and will not be required to pay tuition fees to Khalifa University.
2. Accommodation will be provided free of charge by Khalifa University during the exchange period.
3. Students will be responsible for their own living expenses, round-trip airfare, and other related costs.
4. Khalifa University will be responsible for processing students’ UAE visa and insurance applications.
5.Selected students may apply for NPU funding for overseas study and exchange programs. The funding may cover living expenses and round-trip travel expenses. Final approval is subject to the review and announcement of results by the Office of International Cooperation.
