To all academic units:
Pursuant to the agreement between Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) and the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) on the nomination and placement of interns, NPU is now launching the 2026 internship recruitment program to select and support outstanding students for internships at APSCO. The specific requirements are as follows:
I. Eligibility Requirements
1.Full-time students who are in their third year or above of an undergraduate program, or currently enrolled in a master's or doctoral program;
2.Proficiency in English listening, speaking, reading and writing. Applicants capable of Chinese-English translation and interpreting will be given preference;
3.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and online meeting platforms;
4.Availability for an internship of at least two consecutive months.
II. Other Information
1.Internship dates may be arranged flexibly according to the availability of successful applicants and the needs of APSCO. Students may be dispatched at any time throughout the year;
2.Location: Beijing (APSCO Headquarters);
3.Working days: Monday to Friday;
4.Financial support: a monthly living allowance of RMB 2,700, a housing allowance for accommodation at a designated location, and reimbursement for one round trip to Beijing by second-class high-speed rail.
III. Application Procedure
1.Applicants should submit both Chinese and English versions of their CVs to the international affairs secretary of their respective academic unit by Sunday, September 13. Each unit shall review the application materials and compile the applications;
2.Each academic unit should submit the Information Summary Form for Proposed Intern Nominees (Attachment 1), together with the students' CVs, to wangruojia@nwpu.edu.cn by Monday, September 14.

3.The Office of International Cooperation will organize the selection process and determine the proposed list of student interns.
IV. About the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization
The Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) was established in 2008 and is headquartered in Beijing. It is an international intergovernmental organization comprising China, Thailand, Pakistan and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region. APSCO aims to promote cooperation among its Member States in areas including space technology research and development, applications, and capacity building.
Through satellite data sharing and joint space projects in fields such as remote sensing and disaster monitoring, APSCO promotes the peaceful uses of outer space in the region and contributes to the economic and social development of its Member States. It currently has nine full members as well as a number of observers, reflecting multilateral cooperation in the space sector across the Asia-Pacific region.
