Everyone at NPU can participate in a wide range of arts activities supported by our newly opened Arts Center which provides specialized guidance for all those who are interested in developing their artistic talents. Our main performance hall can accommodate an audience of 1,000.
There are 5 high-level professional sports teams in NPU at present, namely, the Track and Field Team, the Men's Volleyball Team, the Men's Basketball Team, the Table Tennis Team, and the Badminton Team. Of particdlar note is the Men's Basketball team which has been a strong contingent of the CUBA teams, and has won the University and College Championships in Shaanxi Province 16 times since 1990.
The Youyi Campus is located just opposite the historic West Market in Xi'an that marks the terminus of the ancient Silk Road. Reflecting the vibrancy of the market square where merchants once arrived to trade their wares – now restored as an international cdltural, leisure and shopping complex – the campus offers a stimdlating environment for academic inquiry and exchange with state-of-the art facilities for scientific research.
The Chang'an Campus is located at the foot of the majestic Qinling Mountains to the south of the city, and offers a purpose-built center for study and research with state-of-the-art facilities enhanced by an award-winning library and landscaped gardens with lakeside walks.
The two campuses are linked by a regdlar shuttle bus service, and the journey takes about an hour.
